Important information regarding your stay at Pension Residenz in Vienna.

Parking and how to reach us with public transport:

Do you have parking places? How much do they cost?

Parking is possible in a nearby parking garage (Votivparkgarage), where you can park with our reduced price tickets for Euro 20,- per day. Please ask us at arrival about parking.

How to best reach us from Vienna Airport with public transport?

Once you have arrived after a hopefully relaxing flight at the Vienna Airport, you can go by train “S7”, until you arrive at station “Praterstern”. Please make sure you are going in the direction of Vienna. Once you have arrived at “Praterstern”, you can go by underground line “U2” (purple line), direction “Karlsplatz”, until you arrive at station “Rathaus”. From there you can walk to us in around 5 minutes.

Please note that the train is only running until around 11pm. If you are going to arrive later, you can go by one of the Taxis that are available at the airport at all times of the day. The fare is around EUR 40,- from the airport to our place.

How to best reach us from the central railroad station with public transport?

Once you have arrived after a hopefully relaxing journey at the central railroad station (Hauptbahnhof), you can take the tram line “D”, direction “Nußdorf”, until station “Rathaus”. From there you can walk to us in around 5 minutes.

Alternatively you can go by underground from the central railroad station (Haupbahnhof). First you need to go by underground line U1 (red line), direction “Leopoldau”. Once you arrived at station “Karlsplatz”, you need to change to underground line U2 (purple line), direction “Seestadt” and go with it until you arrive at station “Rathaus”. Again it’s only a few minutes waling distance from there.

Do you offer internet access in your rooms (WiFi) and is it free?

WiFi/W-LAN is free and available in all rooms and general areas.

Is smoking allowed in the hotel? Is there a special smoking area?

All our rooms are non-smoking rooms and smoking is forbidden in the entire building.

Do you have air-conditioning in your rooms?

All our rooms are air-conditioned.

Are children welcome?

Children are very welcome at our place. Children up to 12 years can stay free of charge with their parents. Please contact us in advance if you need an extra bed, which we provide for free.

Are pets allowed?

In consideration of other tenants in our house, unfortunately pets are not allowed.

Is breakfast included and what are the breakfast hours?

Our rates include a daily breakfast buffet. Breakfast hours are between 7h and 10h in the morning.

Are our rooms equipped with a minibar?

Our rooms do not have a minibar. If you need to cool medication or something else, please ask as at reception, as this is possible.

Is the tap water drinking water?

Viennese water comes from the Alpes and is of extremely high quality. It is not only drinkable, it is a true delight.

Does Pension Residenz have a restaurant?

We don’t have a restaurant, but we are located in the centre of Vienna with lots of great places around us. It will be our pleasure to advice you.

Is reception open 24h?

Our reception is not always occupied, but there is always someone in our house. If you need a late check-in (after 11pm), please get in touch with us before arrival.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-out until 11am
Check-in from 1pm

Can I deposit my bags with you if I arrive early or leave late?

Yes, you can deposit your bags with us at no charge.

Miscellaneous:

Do you offer laundry service?

We can do your laundry, but it may take up to 24h. Please ask us at reception.

Do you have an iron in your rooms?

Due to safety reasons, ironing is not allowed in our rooms. We have a room where you can iron your clothes, please just ask us at reception.

Is it possible to store bicycles at your place?

It is possible to store your bicycle in our inner yard. Please bring a lock with you, as other tenants of our house also do have access.

Do you rent out bicycles?

We don’t rent out bicycles, but a very affordable public rent-a-bicycle system called ‘Citybike Wien’ exists in Vienna. Two stops are five minutes walking distance from us. All you need is a credit card for registration. More information: citybikewien.at

Do you have a fitness centre or a spa?

Unfortunately we neither have a fitness center nor a spa.

Extra – cleaning charges

If the room is left in improper conditions, we may have to charge a cleaning fee. Other than that, daily room cleaning and cleaning at check-out is included in all our room rates.
